  • Interesting and informative

This is one of my favorite biblical counseling podcasts! Curtis is an excellent interviewer, and he introduces listeners to people working in all different areas using biblical counseling. Some episodes are heavier on the story of the counselor being interviewed or the history of the biblical counseling movement, while others provide more practical counseling advice. Highly recommend!

  • Helpful podcast

As a lay counselor I appreciate this podcast that allows me to be able to get a glimpse of all that is happening in the bigger counseling arena. I am always encouraged by how God is working around the world and I often learn things helpful to my own counseling load.

  • Lack of integration and critical thinking limits usefulness

Some of the speakers provide helpful antidotal information; however, it is hard to track who was useful and who wasn’t. The speakers fail to address any modality that is useful or the second and third order of effects of “sin” being the focus of their counseling goals. I give it to stars because it sounds like each person truly cares about helping people but I doubt they consider the potential harm they can cause with underdeveloped ideas techniques.
