  • My favorite music podcast

We love listening to this podcast on long road trips. It’s such a fun way to revisit the 90s, my favorite music decade. I’m obsessed with the low-key literary analysis (like the discussion of unreliable narrators!) There are plenty of super slick, over-produced music podcasts out there, but if you want to feel like you’re hanging out with your friends feeling nostalgic for the 90s, give this one a try.

  • Lazy podcasters

I was stoked to listen to a podcast about 90s music which is my favorite decade of music and even more excited when I saw an

Episode about my fav album soundtrack The Crow. Your podcast was so disappointing. Podcaster didn’t even know the last name of the main character in the movie. Also, if you only are speaking on three songs, maybe watch the movie and make note of when they are played and don’t just guess while you’re recording your podcast. It’s too bad because I was excited but I couldn’t... more

I love the content of this podcast so much! My only issue with it is that the hosts say “like” so much it’s distracting. It’s a lot.

  • My Favorite Podcast

This is my favorite podcast. Tips for enjoying this podcast:

    1. Be someone who was a teenager in the 90s and listened to alt rock music.

    2. Find things funny and enjoy playfully interrogating your own nostalgia (or just listening to a pair of friends do that).

    3. Don’t expect super serious music analysis. Instead, be ready to go on a journey into an era.

  • Pretty bad. They should bring notes….

Ugh. Gonna try to be a little helpful here…. I listened to one episode (Blind Melon) & I found it frustrating. The hosts didn’t do any homework it seems. Basically, the hosts have listened to the band, & They pulled the band’s Wikipedia page & referenced it a number of times, that seems to be about it. A quarter of their thoughts start, then detour, then devolve into a mess of “um” & “like”, and then just die without ever coming close to saying anything at all. I’m not sure that the hosts h... more

I am comforted to know that someone else feels the same way about this band as I do! In my high school years they brought me to tears. Take a dive all the way back to the Hope Chest early material for some deep cuts.

  • The podcast I didn’t know I needed in my life

I had recently gotten back into 90s rock/grunge/punk/alt music when I was introduced to the podcast. After listening to the Bush and Aerosmith episodes I’m fully convinced that this is a piece of my life I didn’t know was missing. I’m new here, but already a big fan! Keep cranking the hits out and I’ll keep listening!
