My favorite phish podcast.
Brian and his guests are knowledgeable and conversant Phish aficionados. Their laid back, first hand accounts point the way to and provide context for many lesser known gems in Phish’s catalog.
Each episode is a fine supplement to pair with actually listening to the discussed concert (found elsewhere). It’s like wine and cheese, each one enhances enjoyment of the other.
Five stars from me.
Although I found this show only a year or so ago, I quickly got hooked. For anyone that wants to hear the story behind the show, or even gain new perspective on classics we all know, this is perfect. With guests that include everyone from “Phish Famous” folks to the ordinary fan, Brian is doing amazing things to record and preserve the oral history of the phenomenon that is Phish.
Brian does a great job sharing his enthusiasm for the band and setting his guests up to shine and share great memories they have of shows and specific songs. The episodes can’t come fast enough. Even the most knowledgeable of Phish fans will learn something from these episodes.
Brian is a great host with a lot of Phish knowledge. Bringing people from all over with different stories of their favorite concerts!
