Reviews

3.3 out of 5 stars from 6.1k ratings
  • Love the show, guests a mixed bag

Love the podcast, topics, and usually the wide array of guests on here, but please never invite Matt Stoller on again. He had nothing constructive to add, made most of his arguments out of reactivity and bad faith, and was ridiculously disrespectful throughout. He also completely rewrites Civil Rights history and is egregiously ignorant of the history of policing in the US for someone with such bitter bone to pick. What an infuriating waste of an episode.

  • Cosplaying the Left

While I applaud Brie’s stands against Western imperialism; when it comes to actual politics, she is stuck in a perpetual superficial critiquing mode and has little to say on collective action, except for questioning the efficacy of organization as well (to say nothing about all the purity tests).

“Lost Faith” might be a more apt name.

  • Hard pass

Instead of this, listen to Red Menace, Rev Left Radio, and Posting Through It. This is unhinged.

I sit firmly on the left and this ain’t it. Harvard did not educate this host to be a progressive; she just learned to be a strive for money. That’s why any even half-legit interviews are behind her paywall and the free eps are with insane grifters, like her 2016 choice for president Russian asset Jill Stein. BJG is also in line with Jimmy Dore (ask Wiki), not Bernie (he’d never hire her again). Jus... more
