Almost immediately I began to wish this story would go on much longer than I knew it would. It's not easy to walk the line between homage and originality when it comes to HP Lovecraft, but this offering does just that. I enjoyed it immensely! Please give it a try... you have nothing to lose except a good nights sleep.
A good start had me spooked and confused, but a rushed ending. In the rare moments of action not much is clear from the audio, you have to wait for explanations.
excessively clear leap for the second part.
This was pretty good. Although I think 6 episodes was too short. I would have liked things to be fleshed out a bit more.
I thought this was an okay little thriller mystery. Some of the acting seemed a little stiff, and some of the scenes ended abruptly as if they were either out of time or didn’t know how to do the audio. What really irked me was the inconsistency in volume. His voice was so quiet, but the ads were so loud. And in the first episodes I don’t even know what “sounds” he heard bc they were indiscernible.
Great story. I can't wait for part two.I now know that I can expect the unexpected.
This was such a trip. Creepy/spooky with lots of surprises in a tiny one binge package.
I really enjoyed this little horror story . The acting, especially by the Scotsman, was above par. The creature sounds made my eyes widen , which I love ! Will follow this crew!
Story takes a wild twist at the end but the new “truth” seems less reliable and certainly less interesting than the old. Puzzle pieces do not add up and loose ends waggle, even after allowing for effects of possibly unreliable narration. Cookie cutter audio verite that has been done elsewhere substantially better.
I really was surprised how this drew me in, it’s not like anything I’ve listened to on audible. It’s creepy, thrilling, and gave me goosebumps! Very good! Make more!!
Great podcast! Still, it seems it needs to continue with Natalie investigating that terrifying and horrible barn - and farm - in Ohio! I look forward to the 2nd part - DON'T disappoint your listeners!GRADE: A
I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to take some time out to give props where props are due! From the voice-over actors & production to the storyline & over all performance, there isn’t a single piece of negative criticism I would give. This is a must listen for all my fellow Audible Listeners! I only wish it were longer, I enjoyed it so much! Season 2?? YES PLEASE!
There is a certain art in building genuine suspense, and I believe this audio drama is a masterpiece of suspense. The episodes end on cliffhangers, the production and sound design are used to their best advantage, and the pacing is just right. This is the kind of audio drama that is very easy to jump into.

I’m not easily taken by surprise these days when it comes to storytelling twists…but that caught me totally off guard! Was completely immersed in this world the whole way through and then …BAM! What!?!? So, so, so good!
The story itself was OK. The acting felt forced though. The ending was unsatisfying. If there were more episodes to follow, that would make it better but it basically ends like the writer didn't know how to finish it. I liken it to the last scene of Nightmare on Elm Street. It didn't make any sense with the rest of the movie or have anything to do with the sequels.
