A lot of “you went to that college? So did I” type banter. No one cares. Often leads to “you had that professor? So did I! Does he still teach there?”
Occasionally they’ll get into golf topics, but … the sound engineering is horrific! Sounds like they’re recoding a three way conference calls with 5 people using an iPhone 5. In a bathroom. As good as other golf digest podcasts are (Golf IQ as an example) someone at GD needs to listen to this and make some changes.
I think this is a case of too many people have purchased podcasting equipment…one and done listen.
The good:
The team does a great job interviewing their guests and the gambling portion is fun. Stick to the golf.
The bad:
They continue to discuss their games as if anyone cares. Everyone plays fantasy football but none wants to hear about someone else’s team.
The ugly:
It is apparent that they don’t have an engineer but can they get microphones that sound professional? One person continually sounds if they are recording in their bathroom or speaking through a towel. Do they listen ... more
Show has some good and fun content. I would suggest the lead moderator gets a different audio set up. His volume and voice clarity are totally different than the rest of the hosts. Makes it hard to listen when someone’s volume is turned up loud versus the rest of the group.
