Way to much time was given to parsing the history and motivation of the Catfisher. You turned over your platform for his performance. Why you continued communication when it is clear he was playing you is an enigma. I came away thinking Monica did a disservice by pushing Elizabeth and Andy to do this.
Throughout the podcast the 3 hosts act as if they have no understanding of things like “the dark triad” and how psychopathy works but then will say things like, “we need to be fawning” when they decide to call the so called perpetrator, suggesting more education on this topic than they are letting on. It felt throughout like they were playing dumb to induce some sense of suspense or the like, which made for a boring and basic listening experience.
I had a hard time with this one, it seemed way too obvious from the start & it seems as if ego not only got in the way when this happened to the host, but ego got in the way when making this. Way too long, unsatisfying. Do not recommend.
During the video call, I wasn’t fully believing what he was saying because he said he really didn’t travel, and yet in the emails it was mentioned multiple times him going to Europe and check his ip address etc. Also, his emails in the beginning seemed well written. For someone high on pills and drunk… idk something still seems a bit off.
