  • Helping you get to 500 on Apple

Love listening to the show - especially Reviewing the News.

    Slight correction for today’s episode:

‘The dishes are done man’ is from Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead - another great 90’s film not to be confused with Dazed and Confused.

Didn’t think this would be the review for this ski podcast - but felt like I had to set the record straight.

    Appreciate the show.

  • Pro-capitalism outdoorsy podcast

Well produced podcast that is clearly carefully planned and executed. Heavily focused on skiing and biking and other high-consumption American adventure activities. Very business and entrepreneur friendly approach to topics. The monthly Reviewing the News segment is clearly the heart of the show, and typically raises interesting questions and flags issues of note. Very focused on gear and products. Will not challenge your preconceived ideas, but will keep you company as background conversation o... more

OpenSnow’s Joel Gratz on the Outlook for This Winter; Extended Snow Forecasts; AI Updates; & More
Q: Walk a user through, like what would be the advantage right now?
The most important thing we're working on is this peaks model, which makes weather model squares smaller and adjusts based on geographical nuances for accurate forecasts.
Hashing Things Out: Lincoln Knowles, Cody Townsend, & Jonathan Ellsworth
Q: Are you seeing any sort of financial success from it right now?
At the same time, I'm the one who's kind of like, I'm dropping merch and I'm signing a deal with Will Moss because he's doing things that most climbers would see and think are mind-blowing.
Hashing Things Out: Lincoln Knowles, Cody Townsend, & Jonathan Ellsworth
Q: Do you consider yourself an influencer or a professional athlete?
I would like to be a professional athlete, but right now, I would say I'm probably an influencer.
Inside the Minds of Pro Skiers: Competition, Careers, & Close Calls w/ Dane Tudor, Todd Ligare, Amy Jane David, & Stinius Skjøtskift
Q: What advice would you give someone trying to make a career in skiing?
Follow your passion and be true to yourself in your style and vision. It's important to be authentic and to communicate effectively with your sponsors and peers.
20 Years of Flylow w/ Dan Abrams, Flylow President & Co-Founder
Q: Is now a particularly difficult time to start an apparel company?
I think it's false. What we do well in the United States is build brands. Starting a business now... means that your pricing structure is going to be a little fairer, it can't get any worse than it is now.
