I love podcasts but you have to be selective. There’s only so much time. This is an excellent music podcast. The host unearths gems and interesting connections in early American music. There’s an emphasis on playing the music so feels more like a radio show. Yes, it’s about the blues mostly but it’s really about music broadly, American roots music. Anyone interested will find much to enjoy here! I’m glad found it. Learn by listening! I’m excited to see there are more episodes coming!
This is exactly what you are looking for. It is fantastic.
By a country mile, the best Blues podcast out there!!
Not your usual generic blues podcast... this digs into the deep cuts and history of American blues. Bravo!
Bob, a longtime musician and published historian, does an amazing job of taking the audience through the history behind some of the most influential blues music of the past century. Great tunes and super interesting commentary!
