  • A treat for your space age ears

What a joy, what a treat! This Lancer game is a fantastic listen with very animated PCs, baddies who are just trying to survive in the Lancer hellspace, and very smooth and fast moving combat which is impressive with how many rules and little bits there are in Lancer combat. Looking forward to listening to more, keep up the great work!

  • what if Firefly was queer Mecha? an awesome Lancer Actual Play podcast

I recently started playing the Lancer TTRPG and found this awesome Actual Play podcast. Great production, fantastic voices and story. The characters are fabulous and I would take a bullet coffee for Vim. The GM really knows their lore though they have another Lancer podcast that’s more lore-heavy (and I’ll also review some day). This is more episodic and space Western-like. On the frontiers of Union space. They use TOTM for the battles which, for such a tactical game, works thanks to the excelle... more

  • Absolutely amazing

This show is an absolute diamond in the rough. The Lancer community is still relatively small compared to other ttrpgs so to find a show as high quality as this is just amazing. Every player is an absolute star and Reed is one of the best gms I’ve ever seen. If I could get any of my friends to listen to me rambling on about this game I would literally throw this podcast at them. Thank you all for this absolute gem and representing the community so well.

  • The players are delightful and the GM is a skilled storyteller who knows how to keep a session rolling. The GM has some dicey homebrew rules, like doing away with combat maps (arguing this makes for better listening...I guess Glass Cannon Network is doing it wrong?) and having NPCs deal extra damage on crits. Structuring a player twice in a single hit at LL2 is bad rules, not bad luck. Combat at times feels arbitrary and unfair to players. Characters are fantastic and the RP has me hooked!

  • Fun Podcast!

I found this podcast while looking for actual play Lancer podcasts so I could understand the system better. It definitely showed me how fun and exciting the system could be! Besides a good intro to Lancer the cast provides a good story filled with great characters and interesting settings/scenarios. I had a lot of genuine laughs and would recommend BYOM to anyone who likes actual play podcasts, sci-fi, mechs, or just having a good time with friends!

  • Lancer Podcast

This is amazing. A cross between FireFly and Cowboy BeBop, but with Mechs.

The characters are amazing and hilarious, the players have great chemistry and the GM is amazing with their storytelling and ability to keep the story flowing, in or out of Mechs. The Mech battles highlight the unique combat abilities of the individual Mechs and flows smoothly.

The audio is easy to listen too and very professionally done.

  • Great show!

Great production value, fantastic music, and it scratches the space western itch (with a dash of big anime mecha battles) I didn’t even know I had! Can’t wait to see where the story goes from here!

  • Finally Someone did Lancer

Lancer is a high stylized and beautifully illustrated TTRPG about Mechs. The fact that it hasn’t taken over the tabletop world boggles my mind. BYOM has pulled the trigger and made a show based on this mysterious Roleplaying Game; and they do so with good world building, fun characters, and good music. I’m excited to see how the show grows! 🤖
