  • My favorite podcast

I can’t say enough about how much I love this podcast. I’m a 91 year old theatre enthusiast that can’t attend my favorite pastime as often as I wish. In my next life I’d want to be Peter Filichia’s girlfriend (and I wouldn’t leave early). Thanks to you all for your wit and knowledge and especially for making me feel a part of the conversation

  • Great For The 80+ Set?

I mean…if there was ever any doubt that this podcast was for the oldest of the old, just listen to these curmudgeons talk about “Heathers”. Apparently the lead character’s name is Rebecca & not Veronica? I guess they can’t hear lyrics or read Playbills anymore either. And enthusiasm in the theatre should be curtailed for THEIR comfort? My grandparents have more connection to life in 2025 than any of these folks…& my grandparents are dead. So yes, if you’re retired & are afraid of loud sound... more

Long time listener here but won’t be listening to the daily episodes anymore. I really liked having a podcast where I could get theatre news on my commute home each day. Lately the format seems to have shifted. I appreciate opinions about shows, but they’re should at least be respectful? Don’t preach about supporting theatre and then talk trash about shows does you personally didn’t enjoy. You’re no better than the NYT critic you constantly complain about. If it wasn’t already clear, I’m referri... more

  • Love the show!

I live 4 hours north of Los Angeles I travel frequently to see musicals and other performing arts. This podcast helps me feel connected, helps me discover shows that will eventually tour in my area. It also fuels my periodic trips to NY where I pack I. Nearly as many shows as Matt. The Charles Busch interview warmed my heart.
