Most notably, this includes the Shannara series, one of the longest-running and most influential works in fantasy fiction. We'll also be discussing his other work: The Magic Kingdom of Landover series, The Word & Voi... more

It's time for Terry's second and final attempt at writing a film novelization. Fortunately for all of us, this one is dramatically better! We were really surprised by how much strong characterization Terry managed to sneak into this book, including s... more

This show is just great, I have read almost all of what he is written but I love the reviews and insight from others!
I've only read a small portion of Brooks's books, but this podcast makes me want to read more of it!
Great timing, host interaction, humor, pace, depth of information, and entertainment value.
If you are interested in any kind of fantasy, give this podcast a try!
I just discovered this podcast about a month or two ago, and have just been flying through the podcasts to get up to date. I grew up reading the original Shannara series, continued on to heritage, and only briefly went over some of the other series. What’s interesting is that the podcast has provided excellent perspective!

Love all the hosts. Charismatic, humorous, and their voices are all relaxing.
I’m so glad they’re doing this. I wanted to read the Brooks books again, and this podcast gave me a good reason. I like to try to read with them!
Anyway, I expect an invite to the show any day now.
I started reading about the world of Shannara in the beginning of High school. I’m 41 now, and a mother of twins.
Thank you for this show. It’s so nice to hear all 3 of you talk about the books and remind myself what I loved about this series.
Keep it up.
