This harrowing first person account of bravery and compassion in terribly dangerous conditions. He teaches medical students as a consultant surgeon. Just as Bonnie Greer avoided watching all of Joe Biden’s disastrous debate, so I avoided the BYT “Biden Question” podcast. I figured it would just be a regurgitation of right-wing tropes, an unthinking echoing of the anti-Biden ageist narrative put out by Fox News, the New York Times, Russian bots etc. The Economist has fallen for the ageist tropes, as has the New Statesman, Campbell and Stewart and a few others.
