Rivals! What is even happening in this episode? There's some sort of luck machine? Julian and Miles O'Brien play raquetball? Why are we spending so much time on Chris Sarandon?! Is this literally an episode of nothing but filler?!?!?!

Look TNG is my moral core and I bought it on Blu-ray to rewatch along with this podcast. I also got the DVDs of DS9 and Voyager. I will always be a TNG guy, but DS9 is some of the best TV ever made.
I listen to NST to and from work and these folks always make me laugh!
Each episode is a summary and commentary of an episode of star trek with a dash of insight into the show’s development and Bits for days. The chemistry between this group of friends is fantastic. Fun to listen to as a two-time TNG rewatcher and excited to listen along as I work through DS9 the first time
Love the humor, love the insight, love Ricardo mIs-pronouncing everyone’s name. Keep it up.
The idea of seeing the show through someone’s eyes for the first time is a good one and interesting points are brought up in each episode. The thing that is most off putting to me, however, is the frequency of swearing. I don’t mind swearing every now and then to add emphasis or make a joke, but when it is every other sentence it comes off as lazy and tiresome.
I’ve loved Star Trek since I was a kid and I currently cycle through
TNG, Voyager, and DS9 as my comfort shows, DISCOVERYing (get it?!) this pod has been amazing. Love the banter and all the takes, I’ve now found my comfort pod for my commutes and road trips!
