  • Do the hosts actually live in Seattle?

There’s no real news/scoop presented in this podcast and any actual news that is presented shares far less pertinent detail than you’d find from the Seattle times, without any unique perspective/insight that you’d expect from a news podcast. Also the host wasn’t aware that Jeff Bezos doesn’t live in Seattle anymore despite that being a major headline for an extended period of time in 2025 - this made me lose trust in their Seattle news proficiency. For an actually informative and entertaining Se... more

  • Informative for transplants

I was super excited to see the host start this as they’ve been on KUOW with insightful takes. And, idk if it’s the marketing of this pod but the content lacks depth or historical context I appreciate. Most of the restaurant and events recs are just the same stuff on instagram that the influencers push to wealthy transplants. Hoping there’s less hype and more affordable discussion in the future.

  • Tourist Seattle

This show offers only the most superficial view of Seattle. I like the liberal bike forward politics but no real insider information.

Q: Why do they throw the fish at the Pike Place Market?
It may seem performative, but it likely started as a bit and then became something people expect; they likely cradle the fish gently.
