Hosts Reggie & Marques bring all the cool news from around the world and the cool stuff from history. Cool Stuff Ride Home is part of my daily podcast from the beginning and I never miss it, I recommend you do as well, you won’t regrrret it, as it’s all Cool Stuff!
They give little tidbits on all sorts of news and history. It’s easy to listen to, and they’ve got a good sense of humor… even about their reviews! Keep doing what you’re doing :D
I’m pretty sure this podcast is completely AI. They said an asteroid is named the same name as a president. However that is so incorrect. Either you’re super dumb or you’re intentionally trying to bring political beliefs into your message. Either way, I don’t trust you at this point.
The content itself is fun/educational, and it’s nice to stay up to date on non-depressing news. However, the hosts come across as AI trying to read in a human voice/inflection. Many times there are mispronunciations of fairly common words, and some phrases are repeated right after they were said. It gets a little old to hear semi-academic content from hosts who seem to have little to no academic knowledge.
The original show was great - the new hosts are awful. The banter is idiotic and they are really “not an expert” about ANYTHING. Some of the comments they make about stories make me wonder what they are actually schooled in. It’s not math, history or anything to do with ANY science. I really wanted to like this show.
