I first watched the 1939 film version of “The Wizard of Oz” when I was 6, have been a fan of the Oz books since 5th grade, and am now obsessulated with “Wicked.” It has been wonderful to have a space that encourages my interest in Oz. I have dreamt of continuing the representation of Oz through film, as that is what I am majoring in, and this podcast gives me more confidence that I am able to do that. I cannot believe I didn’t discover this pod sooner, but better late than never, as they say. As an avid Ozian since childhood, I am enjoying looking at that world with a current day lens. Looking forward to listening and learning more through each episode.
I listened to the first few episodes while making cookies this morning. I can’t wait to listen to the rest. Down the yellow brick pod is for sure going to be one of my new favorites and has already been added to my library.
Down the Yellow Brick Pod has quickly become my favorite podcast to listen to. I am a huge Oz fan, so getting to hear Tara and EmKay deep-dive into the world and media of Oz is absolutely thrillifying.
