苏秀是上译厂元老级的配音艺术家、译制导演，从上世纪五十年代初开始配音和译制导演的生涯。七十五岁学电脑，一字一句敲出了二十余万字的书稿《我的配音生涯》，并录制了第一版有声书，因未配解说，稍有遗憾；后在上译厂支持下，经过漫长的选片、编排、剪辑、录制，2011年，内容长达十四个小时的MP3版《余音袅袅》出炉，用时一年零九个月。
