The k2 podcast is excellent! Great story telling. Kept me awake when I was supposed to be sleeping.
A good (if fairly light on depth) examination of high altitude climbing, following a dramatic day on K2. Worth a listen, though note that if you’re from the UK you may find main presenter extremely annoying. Aside from the American accent, the presenter seems to have no authority or knowledge whatsoever about the subject matter. In several occasions she mixes up units of measurement (namely metres and feet) demonstrating poor presenting AND poor editing. It’s worth a listen for the story alone t... more
Agree with the other reviews - the cheesy narration takes away from what could otherwise be a very gripping, tragic story. I also found the story quite difficult to follow with so much of the focus on certain individuals’ stories rather than an objective overview of the event.
A story nobody may miss to listen to!
The writing on this podcast is so cheesy, full of adverb ridden cliche and such wry delivery that makes it sound like it’s being narrated by Veronica Corningstone from Ron Burgundy. Shame because the subject matter is fascinating
