  • In My Professional Opinion

tl;dr: Filmjitsu helps keep me sane in our dumpster fire endtimes.

For anyone even remotely paying attention, it’s a hard time to be a human. I’m a clinical mental health counselor and one of the most challenging parts of my job is to help people orient to safety, hope, and fun when the world is on fire. I have to take this advice for myself - that it is important and necessary to find a way to laugh and not take things so seriously. Enter: Filmjitsu. I’ve been a fan since the OG days and ever... more

  • Intelligent humor

The nice space where you can be mindless but enjoy those who aren’t. When I need to laugh but don’t want them to be cheap this podcast hits the spot. It’s relatable, passionate, funny, and it’s not the same old heady pretentious reviews of the classics. It’s two funny intelligent guys sharing what friends should- things they mutually hate. Or sometimes don’t! love this one

  • Dear Nick letter

This is a podcast by film lovers for film lovers. Or a podcast by film haters for film haters. It is, in fact, a podcast for lovers and haters, of cinema and otherwise. Also, Sam Rockwel is Bill Pullman and while he’s likable enough and has had moments of inspired performance, he is consistently underwhelming due to the fact that he is bland. Glad you like the show, Nick. Too bad your taste in movies is not as good as your taste in podcasts. Kisses and hugs.

  • Dear Jay Letter

    Mike and Jay

Love the new podcast! I really enjoyed the first podcast of bottom five remakes. I have a real soft spot for Sam Rockwell and was appalled and dismayed that Jay and I disagree on this. He was in my favorite movie Lawn Dogs and gave what I saw as admirable performances in Reach the Rock, Vice, and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I beg of you: Take. It. Back.
