Foreward does an excellent job of telling a complex and tragic story in a highly captivating and empathetic manner. Through heartfelt and emotional acting performances, focused character development, impressive sound design and more, Taylor and her team have created a world that makes you feel like you are a part of this Colorado community, experiencing life through the eyes of each resident. Foreward does not shy away from difficult subject matter, but addresses trauma and pain with both grace ... more
I can’t get over all the details the director has included in this podcast. It’s easy to listen to. It’s eye-opening and you instantly feel an emotional connection with the characters. Very well-done!! 👍👍👍
I'm now completely caught up with Foreward, written, directed
Took me back to a day I never thought I would think about again, brought up feelings I had long since buried. I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear this. Very well done and as a survivor of this I can say it portrays that day perfectly. Thank you for doing this and I’m looking forward to hearing the rest
What courage it took for the creator to not only revisit the traumatic events of a day that forever changed so many lives, but then, to create this podcast that will not only help with the story teller’s healing, but for the healing of many others. I just finished episode 3 and was crying and feeling such grief for what happened that day and all the other horrible shootings that have taken place since then, beginning with Columbine, which also happened in Colorado. This generation and those af... more
Excellently told. The show draws you in from the beginning.
The podcast is great but the idea behind it even better. How does an experience like this affect people and why aren’t we talking about it?
I can’t fully put into words how perfectly this podcast captures the emotions of such a powerful and horrific event. So well written and extremely well produced.
This is an all too real, but a well told episode. I am listening at 3am, couldn’t wait!
This podcast is definitely top notch quality, easy to become engulfed in, and a close up shot of lots of trauma. Be warned, this isn’t for those easily triggered by school shootings and PTSD.
This podcast tells such an important story about school shootings that (sadly) is so relevant to all Americans. It offers fascinating insights into life in a small mountain town and does a great job of building this setting as well as developing the characters. The audio play format is a really interesting and creative way to tell the story and helps bring it all to life. Looking forward to hearing how the rest unfolds!
The storytelling, dialog, and production value are all top notch. I’m hooked and excited for more episodes to come out!
Rarely have I heard such captivating, innovative, and heartfelt storytelling. A masterfully balanced tale of the ups and (sometimes steep) downs of life. Part mystery, part memoir, part story of resilience, this audio triumph is a podcast you won’t soon forget.
I was a student at the high school the shooting in this story is based off of, and I still remember that day. Listening to this was a very visceral experience, and for all the right reasons. The sound editing in episode three is absolutely superb. The scenes with the shooter made me super uncomfortable, and that's exactly what they're supposed to do. When you have a medium (like a podcast) where you only have your ears and your imagination to rely on to set the scene, you have to really get it r... more
