Sadly the News Quiz is no longer listenable either as the last few episodes have mostly consisted of the worst kind of snarky classist sneering about flags and hotel protests and the panel members lining up to take lame pot shots at Trump, Farage and Reform. I wouldn’t mind if they were funny observations but they’re almost all just preachy little sermons. FWIW, I’m writing this the day after Tim Davie resigned. Canned laughter at overtly unfunny jokes with just terrible content. The news quiz, now show and dead singers are brilliant. I can’t believe To Long Didn’t Read is even considered as part of the Friday night comedy rotation.
I used to love the News Quiz but the unrelenting leftie ‘jokes’ particularly about Farage and Reform now make it a difficult listen.
Reform is currently the most popular political party in the once-great Britain. So try to produce at least some comedy that reflects the audience.
