From their compound tucked deep in the mountains of Montana, each week the Frightday crew investigates chilling incidents of high strangeness, human wickedness, peculiar cryptids, & conspiracies...from a rational perspective. The subject is then paired with a review of a new release genre film. If it bleeds, hacks, stabs, summons, sacrifices, abducts, or bites...it is Frightday.

  • Kelly is good, but Sam ruins the show

The content is very interesting to listen to, and Kelly does her best to keep the episode’s story moving despite the continuous childish interruptions from Sam. If there were a way for AI to just filter Sam out completely it would be a 4+ star show, but sadly there isn’t. At some point you just have to say enough is enough and stop listening. If Sam were even remotely interesting or intelligent it might be tolerable, but no such luck. Sorry.

  • What even is this?

I listened to the Nathaniel Bar-Jonah series (from 2021) and while I appreciate the thoroughness of the research, I don’t understand Kelly’s role here. She just interjects with completely useless often one word comments and is weirdly aggressive. I’d like to hear this without her additions.

Apparently other episodes are horror movie reviews? No idea what this show is even supposed to be, but one star for the research and another one because according to other reviews she trash talked Trump, so ... more

  • Not having an episode of this to listen to at work makes me furious.

I initially found this podcast while searching iTunes for content about Zak Bagans. I did this because he fascinates and infuriates me in equal measure. I realise that searching for podcasts to try and reaffirm my opinion on a celebrity that I have never met and never will meet is odd, but that’s besides the point.

The ZakBag episodes were enough to get me hooked however and Frightday is now easily my number one go to podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 421: Omaima Nelson "the Thanksgiving Butcher"
Q: Was this a case of someone snapping due to what used to be called battered women's syndrome?
The hosts discuss the complexities of the situation, suggesting it could be a combination of abuse and the violent circumstances surrounding her actions, concluding that it might not be straightforward to classify her motives.
VISITORS: Hoodoo Tall (Bradshaw Ranch, Baby Raven)
Q: Do you think there's actually a base there? I mean, obviously, the theory is that there's a base there, right? Do you think that there's a base there?
There might be underground facilities, but there's no hard evidence pointing to anything specific at the ranch; however, John and I discussed how there are likely such facilities around, based on his experiences and knowledge.
VISITORS: Hoodoo Tall (Bradshaw Ranch, Baby Raven)
Q: So how long after, I mean, because for a while, you went back and forth. You would visit Sedona, you'd go back home, you'd visit. How did this process evolve for you actually coming to feel like this is where you belonged permanently?
It was a gradual process over about six years of visiting before I felt it was where I belonged; I moved after I released my first 'Hoodoo Tall' video, which shifted my life significantly.
VISITORS: Hoodoo Tall (Bradshaw Ranch, Baby Raven)
Q: Did John have any connection there? Like, had he spent time there at all? Or was that totally initiated by you?
He hadn't spent time there; he was often too unwell to travel, but I went to Sedona to explore the connection and experiences I was having.
VISITORS: Hoodoo Tall (Bradshaw Ranch, Baby Raven)
Q: Can you give us just kind of that first chapter of your story, how that connection began?
It began with John Lear and my experiences at the Rendlesham Forest; John told me about how he knew people who were involved in the incident, which made me realize it was real and motivated me to pursue similar interests.
