    Francis does such an excellent job bringing history to life. His journalism background really helps tie the stories together. He often draws parallels to current events. History may not repeat itself but it certainly rhymes. I especially like the WWII episodes. A lot of rhyming there.

  • Great until the political preaching

    I would’ve given 5 stars because it’s a great podcast and like to listen before bed. Unfortunately, he started telling Trump supporters they were extremists, although there have been zero assassination attempts against democratic politicians compared to the other side boasting two attempts in 2 months. Quiet the gaslighting….
