Garbage of the Five Rings is a mistake two friends decided to make in which they are going to read EVERYTHING in AEG's Legend of the Five Rings, starting at the beginning, in publication order, and then try and explain it, drawing from the cards, fictions, and RPG supplements.

As funny as Hida Kisada (you need to hear it to understand the joke), this podcast goes through the in-game history of the card game and the role playing game as well as tidbits of real world reasons of why certain things were how they were in the game.
Excellent podcast!
Garbage of the Five Rings is a delightful dive into the history of both the L5R card game and rpg and the lore that it rather uniquely created. Amelia and Jude are delightful in their snarky “we’re doing this so you don’t have to” dive into a wild setting.
This podcast does the dirty, messy, and very important work of sorting through the storyline of Legend of the Five Rings. It's confusing, contradictory, and often dumb, just like the source material! It's a fascinating journey through an ad-hoc story built over 20 years.
Don’t be fooled by the title, this level of sarcasm and sass can only be generated by folks who truly love Legend of the Five Rings despite its many, many, MANY flaws.
