Generation X. If you grew up in the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s, you know just how cool it was to be a kid back then. We had the greatest music, movies, games, technology, and pop culture of any generation, and though we've grown older, we have refused to outgrow our love of everything GenX. GenXGrownUp looks at yesterday and today through the eyes of Generation X'ers who have refused to grow up... more

  • One of The Best!

Love this podcast. The hosts have a great working relationship and their pandering (and ball busting!) makes it easy to listen to. No hype, no band standing, just quality entertainment. Appreciate the deep dives and research they do for each episode. Keep up the great work! Lastly, the one thing I miss most about the 80’s is no one gave a flip about the number of steps you got in each day. Please do something to kill this modern day fascination with steps, and with hydration too for that matter.... more

  • Hidden gem unearthed!

Three generation X nerds who make the listener feel like they're hanging with longtime friends. Discussions of pop culture phenomena, tech gadgets, movie and TV reviews, and lots of reminiscing about the 70's and 80's. I may be a millennial but just old enough to be familiar with most of the topics. Their banter cant be beat when it comes to podcasters, and theyre hilarious -- especially George. Since discovering this about a month ago, I cant stop binging the extensive back catalogue!

  • Disappointed

Unfortunately I must withdraw my previous high rating. In an episode about things the hosts “hated” about the 80’s, the “Just Say No” to drugs campaign was unanimously denigrated, with one host calling it “so (expletive) stupid”. On a more recent episode, a review was read in which a listener boasted of drug use — which seemed to delight the hosts; one even suggested that perhaps he should sample them. Sadly, drugs are neither cute nor funny. I’ve known numerous people whose lives were destroyed... more

  • Fun Time Remembering

This is a podcast where it feels like you are at the table with three other friends remembering how it was growing up. They talk about things coming up in the times we live in now, then do a show on things we grew up with. This show is very informative and funny at the same time. Even when they talked about the Dewey Decimal System, I was in tears from laughing at their interactions. So if you want to know what it was like growing up as, or were, a GenXer, then this is the podcast for you.
