Q: When did you really start to separate yourself in terms of becoming a standout defenseman?
From the age of 13 years old, that's when I strictly start to play defense. That's when I really kind of took off.

Growing up, I would play defense one year, then I would play forward the next year. That allowed me to kind of feel and kind of grow up playing both sides of the puck, which helped me offensively.
