  • Truth sets us free

I learned more about the good news of the gospel in the first two episodes than I did in 18 years of ‘religion’ in a legalistic coC congregation in the bible belt! Keep up the amazing work Dr Farley! I love Jesus more and more the more I hear about Him.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is Having a New Heart Truly Biblical?
Q: What is your question regarding the new heart?
I find Ezekiel speaking more to the nation of Israel, and I'm seeking to learn how to communicate that it's also for new believers.
When We've Sinned
Q: What should we do when we commit a sin?
We should simply stop sinning, turn from it, and trust that we are already forgiven by the blood of Jesus.
Was Jesus Really Tempted?
Q: Can you comment on the contradiction in scripture regarding God's inability to be tempted versus Jesus being tempted?
Farley explains that Jesus, being fully human and fully divine, was tempted during his lifetime but did not sin. He clarifies that the passages refer to different contexts - one about God's nature and the other about Christ's humanity.
Is Tradition the Key to Spiritual Truth?
Q: What is going on with the trend of young men leaving traditional churches for the Orthodox Church?
Andrew explains that young men are seeking more meaningful experiences and may be deceived by the allure of tradition in places like the Orthodox Church, which he argues diverges from the core gospel message.
Church Attendance
Q: What's your take on that?
Church attendance is for encouragement, and one does not lose their faith or 'fire' if they don't attend church regularly.
