  • Deep Ecumenical Protestantism

Austin Suggs is a pretty interesting guy. He reads A LOT and engages a lot with the TheologyTube sphere. He is very charitable and level headed, and you can learn a lot from him. I also appreciate some of his warnings about LARPing and how our faith needs to be more than studying theology.

It’s good stuff, and I will say he’s probably the most ecumenically-minded Protestant I know of who isn’t becoming Catholic. I guess we’ll see if that lasts

  • Lovely fellowship ,Phillip Cary interview

I came across Cary on the Augustine Podcast, true warmth in theological and philosophical conversations where views are different can be difficult to navigate. Your interview has given me further approval to push into my inclinations concerning study of the Church of the past. As a former Charismatic who has entered the Reform community about 6 years ago , the Kingdom of Christ is made new again to me!! I found you on youtube and will now be listening here. • Church history for beginners

As someone who wants to understand church history and different theological perspectives, this podcast has been an amazing starting point for me. I would have never been introduced to topics such as papal infallibility, the early church fathers, and orthodox spirituality. These podcasts have blessed me greatly, and I’m certain they will for you as well.

  • Gospel complexity

I really like the podcast! Lots of interesting guests from different viewpoints get to tell their point of view and speak clearly from their faith traditions. I do think the name of the podcast may need to be updated though. I think many of the guests on the show have different views of what the gospel actually is, and if anything, the host helps to o highlight the complexity of Christianity rather than the simplicity, If there is such a thing as a simple Christianity.

Growing Old and Dying in Christ | Fr. Ron Rolheiser
Q: How do you become a holy old fool?
Embrace gratitude and forgiveness consistently, and learn to let go of bitterness.
Is the Bible Clear? A Protestant-Catholic Dialogue with Casey Chalk
Q: What is your confidence in the assurance of your salvation?
Confidence comes from God's character as a loving father and the assurance found in scriptures about salvation through faith in Christ, balanced with an understanding that one must live in accordance with those beliefs to maintain that status.
Is the Bible Clear? A Protestant-Catholic Dialogue with Casey Chalk
Q: How has your understanding of the Bible's clarity evolved?
Originally thought that the Bible's essential truths were broadly clear, but experiences and academic training revealed complex interpretations that challenged that perspective.
Is the Bible Clear? A Protestant-Catholic Dialogue with Casey Chalk
Q: What does it mean to you that the Bible is clear enough for people to understand necessary things for salvation?
For me, the belief in Scriptures' clarity has to do with acknowledging the role of personal interpretation and the tradition one belongs to. Though we can arrive at essential truths about God, interpretation can still vary widely among Christians.
Can Catholics Disagree with the Pope? | Andrew Likoudis
Q: What do you say to those who feel more Catholic than the Pope?
They should recognize that Catholicism involves accepting the teachings of the Magisterium, even when there are disagreements.
