この磐井の乱と間接的にですが、関係があるのが大宰府になります。
乱の後、ヤマト王権は磐井の支配地に次々に屯倉を造っていきます。
その一つの屯倉が発展して大宰府へと変貌していったといわれます。
昨年は四王寺山～大野城を何回も登っていろんな角度からお送りしましたが、
今回もちょっと角度を変えて大宰府をとりあげていきます。

神功皇后が通った道に残された史実を調べていきますと、磐井の乱の筑紫の君磐井が通った道と重なりました。
さらに調べていきますと、磐井と対立したヤマト王権側がこの道を外部に漏れるのを恐れたのではないかということが分かってきました。

神功皇后は14代仲哀天皇の皇后です。
二人は九州の熊襲を討伐するために福岡にやってきます。
仲哀天皇は急死しますが、神功皇后は一人で熊襲を討伐し、朝鮮半島にも遠征したりします。
その神功皇后が通った道に残っている史実を解明していきます。

磐井の乱で磐井が戦った相手は継体天皇です。
継体天皇は応神天皇五世孫といわれる人物で、謎の多い天皇です。
古事記、日本書紀によりますと、越前の国又は近江の国から迎えられた天皇だといわれます。
即位後20年程も都に入らなかったといわれ、没年もはっきりせず、謎だらけですが、生前は磐井と仲がよかった証拠もあるとか
