I used to love this podcast and then... the ads made it almost unlistenable. Way too many and they cut in with no notice. The transitions are so jarring that they actually affect the listening experience. Unfortunate bc this used to the best nba podcast.
Hardwood Knocks brings the right mixture of numbers, eye test, and personality, striking the rare balance between entertaining and informative.
The season preview pods (one per team) are especially deep and excellent listening!
Dan and Grant are some of my favorites. Their knowledge is wide ranging and true sicko stuff. They’re funny and unbiased in their equal coverage of all 30 teams, which is refreshing as a fan of a currently bad small market team that is often overlooked and dismissed by other national shows.
I listen to every episode. Your Rockets guy comes off as extremely arrogant though.
I’m really enjoying the team previews. Dan really shows great respect to his guests and allows them to show what they know, unlike some other pod-hogs out there. He’s very dedicated and puts the work in.
