  • Come on

I get why you guys want guests on the show, but no Islander fan cares what Rachel Doerrie or Colby Cohen, etc. think about a team they don’t watch. It’s one thing to get other voices on, but another to listen to Stefen try to impress other fringe hockey media people.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

2/1/26 - Up & Down. Guest: Justin Bourne, Sportsnet
Q: What do you see happening with the Islanders leading into the Olympic break?
They're aiming for four points in the upcoming games, with matchups against Washington and Pittsburgh.
1/18/26 - Safe Travels!
Q: Did you guys talk about Druin? So let's talk about him, because I remember it was a few weeks ago where he came up in Questions Bruin.
Druin has been a distributor and not a prolific goal scorer. He fits on really good teams, is responsible defensively, but not the guy to get the goals when needed.
12/15/25 - Winter Wonderland! Guest: Ray Ferraro, ESPN
Q: Is Barzal hesitant to shoot the puck? Why?
The hosts reflected that it's just part of Barzal's style to look for assists over shots, even though he can be more aggressive; his mentality is that he prefers setting up teammates for better opportunities.
12/15/25 - Winter Wonderland! Guest: Ray Ferraro, ESPN
Q: What does it mean for a guy like Pat LaFontaine to be acknowledged by the team?
Ray Ferraro explained that it's a moment for fans to remember what kind of player LaFontaine was, as well as acknowledging the impact he had on the Islanders.
11/30/25 - Home Woes. Guest: Chris Johnston, The Athletic
Q: What is your perspective on the New York Islanders season so far?
They have been more competitive than expected, especially on the road, but the team is caught between two eras and struggling to find consistency.
