  • Utterly entertaining

Horror Queers is a must-listen for all horror fans. Unlike other similar podcasts that simply summarise plot points, both Joe and Trace provide an insightful, critical, and often hilarious analysis of a diverse selection of horror films through a queer lens. Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Interview: Bryan Fuller on Dust Bunny
Q: Can you give us an idea about what some of the concerns were with making the film for Apple TV?
It was their first television show, and I think there were assumptions about the guy who just did Hannibal, telling a story that was supposed to appeal to families.
Interview: Bryan Fuller on Dust Bunny
Q: So we're curious why you wanted to make Dust Bunny, which is more of a gateway horror film?
I think it goes back to those Pushing Daisies instincts... It didn't feel like it was a departure from anything that I had done, but more kind of like a return to Pushing Daisies style shows.
Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975) feat. Zoë Rose Smith
Q: Why did you agree to come and talk about this film?
Honestly, I was so excited when you asked me if I was going to be Salò. I was like, yes, I was like, that is so my brand, which is clearly shit eating.
Psycho Beach Party (2000)
Q: What happens in this movie?
They summarize the plot of Psycho Beach Party, focusing on the character dynamics and the central mystery surrounding the murders.
Psycho Beach Party (2000)
Q: So why don't we jump in?
They discuss how the film both parodies and pays homage to earlier beach party movies while weaving a narrative about identity and sexuality.
