Long time listener stopping by to leave another review. The last few weeks were so busy that I missed a few episodes- for the first time in over five years I think, so I went back and binged the last two months worth of pods while working. My main takeaway from this experience is that I want those stupid death stranding window panels and that this podcast is still as good as when I started listening back when it was still How did this get played?
Giving this 5 stars cause I’ve been a listener for a long time and generally really love these goofballs. That being said, the most recent “saving the switch 2” episode had to have been one of the most uninformed and tone deaf conversations I’d ever heard regarding that console. It was like right-wing podcast levels of just saying stuff. There were just a lot of factual inaccuracies and bad-faith arguments, plus not once did you all mention the tariffs or affordability crisis that are impacting ... more
It’s a funny show. I laugh a lot. But it’s a bad video game podcast. Play a game and talk about it like the old days. Drafting your favorite controller isn’t entertaining at all… and Nick still hasn’t found a way to deal with his TDS. Get a grip man.
This was a fascinating podcast back when the hosts forced themselves to play terrible video games and discuss them - they credited HDTGM as an inspiration but not James Rolfe's pioneering AVGN series.
