I didn’t know what to expect going into this but found it fun and enjoyable. I always enjoy hearing women talk explicitly about their sexual experiences because it runs so counter to my upbringing and expectations. One negative: the last segment of the episode I listened to was billed as comic relief. It was easily the stupidest and unfunniest thing I’ve ever listened to. There was no humor in it at all.
Every week and shiver with anticipation as I eagerly await Intellectual Erections next episode!! I never know what to expect yet I know that it’ll always be good. I love that I am my mind and body are simultaneously stimulated as I listen :)
It’s so refreshing that a podcast exists where people can talk about their experience with sexuality so freely. Patric is an amazing interviewer, and I love all the guests that he’s picked to make this powerful podcast full of variety. There’s something in it for everyone. It’s educational, freeing, and inspiring. I highly recommend it!

This show will keep you abreast of all the modern sex topics you wanted to know about, and those that you never heard of before.

The variety of topics covered is vast. I listen to a lot of sex positive podcasts and find this one has one of the best balances between being educational & entertaining.
One of my favourite podcasts which is based on sex positivity. Very interesting topics. Concise and though provoking.
The podcast takes an insider’s look at various kinds of sex work and kink, but it’s not the investigative journalism you might find somewhere else or even exposé interviews. The host is clearly an insider talking to other insiders. While no one completely forgets that the listeners may not be insiders, the interviews are not geared towards informing the public. These are portraits. Individuals providing glimpses into their world with a tertiary focus on informing people who might be considering ... more
Hands down my favourite sex positive podcast with incredibly intelligent and insightful conversation in all the interviews. It’s really opened my mind about some alternative lifestyles and helped me understand what about those lifestyles might be appealing.
I love Patrick and his community. I’ve always been interested in sex positivity and kink communities, but it’s not something that’s easy to talk about! So listening to this podcast makes me feel less lonely and more likely to reach out. Patrick’s voice and conversation style are also pretty enticing.
Some things I feel can be improved: the recording studio seems to have a bit of echo, and Patrick’s particular leanings heavily influence the kinds of guests he has on. There’s a lot about polyamo... more
Frank, funny and engaging guests!
These episodes deliver what the title suggests— stimulating conversations revolving around sexuality as it connects to individual desires, alternatives communities, and society as a whole. Lots of funnies and positive messages throughout even while dealing with sensitive topics in a considerate way. Listen for yourself and let your mind get touched!
It’s lovely listening to a podcast that’s so engaging, eloquent and poignant. I also appreciate that it’s Toronto based and the local references are fantastic. Very well done!
A wide range of “open” people talking with honesty and thoughtfulness about their sexuality, sexual identity, relationships, and journeys in learning to be true to themselves in a world where challenging social norms can be painful, scary, heartening, and rewarding. I look forward to the new episodes the moment I finish the previous one!
For those who may not be into “the lifestyle” I think one the most interesting things about this podcast may be the deep introspection each guest displays, as they talk about their erotica life. Hence the very app title of the podcast. Very informative, endlessly interesting and quite funny, too.
As one of the interviewees, at the risk of sounding biased this is a great podcast. All the guests are open and honest, and Patric lets everyone speak from their own experiences. There are lots of commonalities but even more diversity.
