  • Truth in a Time of Lies

This podcast is just what I need; deep thinking in bite sized portions. It reminds me of what is true and good in an atmosphere of lies.

  • Suggestion

It’s a good podcast however it can be difficult to listen to at times. This is because one of the cohosts yells when he talks. He talks very fast at a high volume and it’s somewhat stressful to listen to as they go back-and-forth between a calm slower, normal talker and a fast yelling cohost.

  • This is bad

I just listened to an episode reporting that the genetic similarity of chimps to humans is more like 14-15% as opposed to 1-2%. They literally say after repeating this over and over again that it doesn’t actually prove or even reinforce any ID arguments. They insinuate some sort of intentionality behind the finding be “buried”. The hosts are the ones with an agenda, that much is clear.

Beyond Fine-Tuning: Why the Laws of Nature Indicate Design
Q: Could you share some examples of how the laws have to have a certain structure for life to exist?
The laws are designed in such a way, for instance, gravity must exist to form stars and planets, and electromagnetism is needed for atoms and molecules, which are fundamental to life.
Beyond Fine-Tuning: Why the Laws of Nature Indicate Design
Q: Could you explain the quest for a theory of everything and its relevance?
The quest is about finding a unique theory that might explain everything in the universe, but physicists have realized there are many models that could apply, and there hasn't been success in discovering a singular unique theory.
Beyond Fine-Tuning: Why the Laws of Nature Indicate Design
Q: Could you please explain your new argument?
Our new argument is about the laws of nature themselves and what causes these laws to be as they are, rather than focusing purely on the numbers associated with them.
Eric Hedin on Suffering in a Designed World
Q: Is theism a better explanation for the origin and spread of human evil in the world?
Yes, human evil aligns with the theistic viewpoint, where the choice to serve self over the creator leads to the existence of evil in the world.
Eric Hedin on Suffering in a Designed World
Q: Are bodily afflictions more reasonably reconciled with the notion of a purely naturalistic universe, or one from an intelligent designer?
Bodily afflictions can be reconciled with intelligent design, as the complexity and engineering of the human body suggests that sickness does not refute the existence of a designer.
