Q: How did you get interested in your journey in neuroscience, and what inspired you to join the Michael J. Fox Foundation?
I started my path in science due to a strong emphasis on education in my Indian family. I pursued a bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences in India, which led me to a fascination with the brain and ultimately Parkinson's disease during my PhD and postdoctoral fellowship. My work was funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which introduced me to career opportunities that allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the community.
