【今回の内容#33】
先日、モヨで8人の子供たちの卒業パーティーが行われました。施設の子供や卒業生の親族、以前モヨを卒業した親子も集まる大きなイベントとなりました。参加した保護者が、どのような経緯や想いで子供を引き取ったのかを話し合う機会も設けられ、まだ引き取る覚悟ができていない親族をはじめとする参加者全員が、身寄りのないケニアの子供達について深く考える機会となりました。

保護された当時、自分の名前以外には何も知らなかったジョセ。モヨでの生活も最年長の13年になる彼にとっては、この施設こそが生まれ育った場所であり家でした。もう18歳になる彼ですが、学習機能に困難があると診断されて特別支援学校に通っていた過去もあり、雇ってもらうことが難しい現状に直面しています。ケニアという厳しい環境の中で、彼が生きていく方法を模索する日々です。
