Have loved this season and have listened to most of them twice to make sure I am absorbing everything.
This episode has helped answer some questions, especially after applying anthropomorphism (sp?) to what I have learned, and can definitely help those who have issues trying to earn God’s love.
Of course, the episode also raised other questions that I am working through. I feel like this has probably been asked, but the episode does raise an additional question. If God does not have emotions... more
I’ve been listening for four years now and have listened to every episode. I recommend Knowing Faith all the time! It’s has definitely helped me grow in my faith and theological understanding.
A question I would love to hear you discuss in a Q and A is what do we know about angels based on the Bible? I was reading Hebrews 1 and 2 and realized I know very little (I know angels are not the main point of those chapters, but it started me thinking about them). What attributes are true of them? How ... more
I love this podcast! Jen, JT and Kyle have taught me so much. Their humor and conversational style make for easy listening.
I have a question about your definition of preaching. You said that preaching happens “in conjunction with the Lord’s Supper.” Does this mean that you believe the Lord’s Supper should be given at every corporate worship service of the local church? If my church doesn’t do the Lord’s Supper every Sunday, is the pastor not preaching on those Sundays?
My favorite podcast. They hold firm to truth, express convictions charitably, and evidently care for one another.
Question for an upcoming Q&A: What are your best/favorite resource recommendations regarding cultural commentary? How do you stay up to date with philosophical and cultural movements/shifts?
I like to listen to this podcast. My understanding is that, coming from the black church worship is the only part of the service that is for God. The word needs to be preached and communion taken. Praying and worship should be the longest part for me. When Isaiah saw Jesus, he saw people singing to him. Just my opinion.
