The Summit finally arrives—and everything unravels. In Chapters 71–80 of Crescent City: House of Earth and Blood, Bryce’s desperate attempt to save Hunt collides with long-buried lies, explosive lore reveals, and a public reckoning that quite literal... more
In this week’s L.A.M.E. Book Club episode, we dive into Crescent City chapters 61–70 and… whew. Sarah J. Maas really said, “What if we emotionally demolish them mid-book?” We talk through Bryce’s brutal healing scene (aka peak “sweetheart” content fr... more
We’re back in Lunathion with so many theories, besties. In this episode we’re breaking down Crescent City chapters 51–60: Bryce summoning Aidas (and that absolutely unhinged “let’s fight a demon with a demon” logic), the planet contraption in the Aut... more

Absolutely loving watching and listening to you guys. My husband has been the one hearing all my plot spirals, character breakdowns, and wild theories for months… so he is thrilled I finally have you to obsess with. He has never been happier to be replaced. Big hugs!
I downloaded Apple Podcasts just to leave this review, I’ve been listening to this podcast since early 2024 and decided it would be a disservice to not give credit where it’s due for this long. Recently listened to Silver Elite coverage and after Ellie’s Donald Duck impression, I was laughing so hard, I had literal tears rolling down my face, my best friend doesn’t live close to me anymore and I haven’t laughed that hard in months. Listening to Melissa and Ellie feels like being at a sleepover w... more
I found this podcast when I started reading fourth wing and LOVED having someone to follow along with I personally don’t have any friends who are into books so it felt so good to have friends to read along and hear your thoughts and theories love you guys 🫶🏼
How do you read fantasy world building troupes about abuse, classism, and authoritarian governments all day and then say you aren’t political and follow politics in your daily life? This episode was baffling to me as a Christian because it showed how little y’all cared about other tragedies that don’t fit your narrative. I unfollowed.
As a first time TOG reader it was really fun to have a bookclub style format - I’d read the prescribed chapters then listen to Melissa and Ellie’s debrief on what I just read. It worked out really great, until two big spoilers were revealed.
1. EOS/TOD Tandem: There was a big Maeve spoiler that caught me off guard, I know Melissa apologized for it but it was arguably one of the biggest reveals of the series and I feel like it got ruined for me.
2. KOA (81-100): Dorian’s father’s real name is n... more
