現在も保存活動が続けられており、県の内外で発信があります。こうした神事で、はっきりと継承が続いているものは貴重なのではないでしょうか。
私も聞いたことがないため、本当に淡々と読み上げただけのものになります。意味理解ができたときに、また再収録したいと考えています。

第119話、最後の1篇は「獅子踊り」です。とても長いため、歌の部分は次回の最終話にまとめて読み上げます。
このような、祭りの歌が文字として記録され、100年先の出版物に「まるっと」残っていることの凄みを感じます。
『遠野物語』本編としては、これが最後の一話になります。お付き合いいただき、ありがとうございました。
「いじわるな継母と、その連れ子にあたる義姉妹にいじめられていた気立ての良い娘が神の恵みを受けて、やがて長者の妻になる」このフォーマットは「紅皿欠皿」と呼ばれ、少なくとも江戸時代には黄表紙（読み物）や歌舞伎などでよく知られていたようです。

また、両親が呼ぶ「おりこひめこ」は、「かわいいかわいい娘ちゃん」といったニュアンスでしょうか。
語り部のかたが今でも引き継ぐ「これでドントハレ」もここで紹介されます。
話そのものは大変ハードですが、独特の言葉選びがどこか優しい一遍です。

柳田国男『遠野物語』は文語（古文というほどではない）で書かれていますが、こちらは分かりやすい現代日本語（口語）に訳されています。
「意訳」とされていますが、逐語訳ではないものの、かなり正確な訳です。
いままで『遠野物語』を読んでみたかったけれど、文語文で挫折していた方にお勧めです。
