“竹龙又替水龙船，斗巧争奇色色鲜，笑煞城东王老爷，听人齐唱落离莲。”傅正生翻开清代同治版《新淦县志》，朗读这首诗后告诉记者，诗里的“落离莲”即“莲花落”。县志还记载了新干“莲花落”可上溯至宋朝，形于明盛于清。傅正生说，其实“莲花落”自古就在全国流传，北方的“二人传”就是从“莲花落”演变过来的。
