  • Pronunciations are the real unknown

I enjoy the show—I'm a big fan of true crime, mysteries, and anything involving the outdoors. That said, I noticed in a recent episode that the word chaparral was mispronounced pretty badly. Since it's a common term for a type of landscape (especially in the American West), it might be worth double-checking pronunciations of basic terminology like that. It threw me off a bit, and I think a little extra research could really tighten up the production. Keep up the great work otherwise!

  • tragically compelling

thinking of the families’ heartache is sobering and contemplating the demise of the individuals is disturbing, but the knowledge, advice and warnings imparted by the show is priceless. a bit off-putting how easily the spirit world is dismissed and mocked, however. that little boy in the Sierras saw something closed-minded adults cannot. people with his abilities like his help detectives find missing bodies, fyi

  • Hiking + True Crime

Thank you for combining the only two things I care about, if we’re being honest. 👍🏼

But prepare better with name pronunciation. This makes some of the episodes almost unlistenable.

  • I agree with all the other 1-3 star ratings

Everything all the other 1-3 star reviews says is accurate. I love the premise of the show but I just don’t think it’s executed well. I’m glad they are starting their own podcast platform (idk what it’s called) because they are better suited for that rather than being hosts. I hope they transition to that and sell this podcast to someone who is a better storyteller and doesn’t laugh when discussing people being lost or tell so many personal stories. If I hear the story about the hypothermic frie... more
