Listened daily for months. Tonight was the last draw. If the host isn’t a 13 year old, he needs to invest in voice lessons. The voice cracking in nearly every sentence has run me off.
I was a huge fan back in the Jeff Lloyd/Pete Smith days. Sure, Jeff’s sound quality and Pete’s snarky attitude were annoying… but I usually felt like I genuinely learned something. Since Pete left, Jeff did an admiral job solo but the insight was lost. Garret Bush was terrible (typical local media guy) and although I like Spencer’s delivery and professionalism, I don’t really feel like I’ve learned anything from the show in months. The show now feels like it’s just some guy sharing his opini... more
I always enjoy a different, “inside” look at the Browns, but I can’t listen anymore until you figure out how to have a professional sounding recording. I can look past the voice for the sake of the content. Get more professional please and I will subscribe again.
He does a great job staying on top of breaking news daily and I know that’s a lot of work.
However, the more I listen, the more I hear the snarky attitude towards, not just the material, but fans that listen to his snark.
Terrible at taking criticism too, and addresses it, often in the show itself. The attitude ruins the listening experience for me. Sorry man
Every episode, Jeff mentions that it’s a daily Podcast. But it’s not. He averaged 1-2 episodes per week over the last six months. I know it’s the offseason… so why lie to the audience? I know of other “Locked On” shows that didn’t take the Summer off. It’s not the daily dose of the Dawg Pound. It’s the once or twice a week dose of the Dawg Pound. Hard to take his analysis seriously when he spouts nonsense like that. Bum.
