  • Really love this podcast

It’s funny, informative, and a genuinely immersive way to experience parts of London that dont always get top billing in mainstream travel media. The presenter, Joe Mackertich, is great at striking a rapport with guests, balancing his own personality with allowing the guests to be themselves, tell stories about ‘their’ favourite bits of London. If you love London, this will 100% make you smile. Highly recommend!

  • Loving Love Thy Neighbourhood

Time Out’s podcast Love Thy Neighbourhood is like the best kind of Londoner: funny, knowledgeable without being a smug prat about it, and absolutely able to point you to the best pub in the area at short notice. Guests are great too: nice mix of household names and interesting trailblazers. If you love the idea of listening to a famous Londoner getting personal about their fave bit of the city, hot new spots and having fun chats, it's basically an Oyster Card for your ears.

  • Good concept but presenter is awful

What a brilliant idea and perfect for Time Out. No super exciting guests yet but get a proper presenter and they may do. He is cringe like a GCSE media student doing a podcast, no talent for interviewing and really awkward. Great format which could be amazing with a decent interviewer.

Ep 37: Daniel Foxx in Fulham
Q: What kind of dog do you have?
He is half chow chow and half French bulldog, which is a strange combo and very cute, but has all the worst qualities of both.
Ep 37: Daniel Foxx in Fulham
Q: Why did you choose Fulham?
I lived in Fulham and around Fulham when I first moved to London, and I did a good sort of six, seven years here, so I just sort of have a lot of formative years here, I think.
Ep 34: Monica Galetti in Marylebone
Q: What are the challenges chefs face regarding the quality of food?
Monica discusses working with Itsu to improve flavor and quality in their products.
Ep 34: Monica Galetti in Marylebone
Q: What was it like compared to where you'd been before?
Monica found it busy and cold after moving from a sunny Pacific island.
Ep 30: Jamie Lee in Borough Market
Q: So my favorite pub is the one that's behind my house, called the Compton Arms. What are your feelings on pubs?
I love them. I love them because I think that bars, the way I perceive bars, at least in the United States, is some are fun and have a vibe, and then others are really rowdy.
