I discovered this podcast when the hosts appeared on Lost in the Movies. They made me realize that I wasn’t alone in my fervent love for both David Lynch and Jane Austen. Their dynamic is more Austenesque than Lynchian, but they clearly love both. A lot of fun to listen to.
I’m so happy I stumbled onto this podcast looking for something to support my Mansfield Park re-read. I listened to those episodes first and I was so impressed with the hosts’s smart and compassionate read (also felt vindicated in my love for Fanny Price). I’m listening to the beginning episodes now and if I’m sorry that I didn’t find this podcast sooner, I’m glad I have so many episodes to look forward to.
It’s tolerable. All they do is giggle and guffaw pointlessly. There is much of importance to be said and argued, but they just kept chuckling like a couple of nitwits.

Love the show and love their dynamic. I was expecting it to start with one Austen fan and one Lynch fan but Maya was the fan of both and Christian was the newcomer to both. The show is a fun not too serious look at both subjects in depth but they down drown you with minutiae. My only complaint is the audio levels are not the most consistent but they have rereleased a few episodes with improved audio as they became more experienced.
