I loved it. Highly recommend.
The podcast Mapping the Doctrine of Discovery does a really good job of explaining what the Doctrine of Discovery is and why it still matters today. The hosts, Philip Arnold and Sandy Bigtree, clearly connect history, law, and religion to show how this doctrine has harmed Indigenous peoples for centuries. I liked how they balanced historical facts with Indigenous perspectives. I recommend 100%
The podcast is super amazing! very educating
Just found this valuable work; it so applies to the self destruction of our government today: greed, imperialism, colonialism.
This podcast has changed the way in which I understand what the doctrine of discovery means and the long lasting consequences of it. Thank you to the producers, hosts and many guests who have been interviewed! I’m looking forward to the next episodes!!!!
