Like the content but the “yea”, “okay”, “that’s right”, …accompaniments by the second host are unnecessary and a distraction.
I share this with everyone (those I think will have interest) and they all enjoy it. I enjoy knowing others interests and creative minds…. Learning about artists is exactly that. I believe you never truly know someone until you read or view their creativity.
I'm very interested in learning more about the great artists. I've downloaded some other artist history podcasts and they were just way over my head and hard for me to follow. Ths podcast is excactly what I've been looking for! Alisha and her daughter present the material in a way that makes it interestng and fun to listen to. Thanks y'all!
Not only is this fun and educational, Alisha Gratehouse and her daughter are amazing! We joined their Masterpiece Society classes and have LOVED them. Then we started listening to the podcast on our way places and we love learning about the great artists. When we get home we quickly look up the painting that they talk about and feel like we’re specialists on it. It is so fun to see their other work and to point it out excitedly! It’s so fun to find out that the great artists were people lik... more
Great interactive podcast with perfect episode length and level of detail. I especially like that you explain the historic context as well as art styles and techniques!
I have a 3, 6 and 9 year old. The kids and I love the podcast. They request it. We enjoy looking the the website and art after each pod. Thank you for this gift of a podcast.
I’ve only listened to one episode so far (Turner), but have subscribed and will be using this podcast as part of our AmblesideOnline (Charlotte Mason style) curriculum from here on out. Very pleased so far.
I heard about this on Pam Barnhill’s podcast and thought I would check it out and I’m so glad I did! Sadly, I lack both knowledge and appreciation of art but this podcast has really inspired me! They do a great job framing the historical setting, giving interesting information about the artist, and then helping you truly appreciate a work of art! And all in about 20 minutes! I’m looking forward to sharing this with my kids.
I love the format of this podcast! My middle schoolers are so excited for this weekly addition for our winter semester.
