  • Stop the Whining

This could be such a great podcast if it weren’t for the rampant racism whining about the Trump Administration. Good gravy I get the administration is not perfect, but every freaking podcast is nothing about the parks, but how bad things are for them. Funny, because we’ve been to several in 2025 and they have never looked or been better! Maybe this podcast should be about how great our parks are regardless of who is in office.

  • Great coverage of current events!

I’ve always appreciated the podcast’s coverage of corners of the National Park Service that I might otherwise miss. But recently it has also become a fantastic source of information about how action on the federal level is affecting the NPS. The guests provide plain spoken, direct information and give you a great sense for what is happening. No euphemisms, no sugar coating. I’ve really appreciated the coverage, thank you.

  • My favorite subject

I really enjoy the work done here. Nice to have a source that doesn’t just cover the popular parks. I’ve learned a lot about how things work behind the scenes. I’ve enjoyed the many interviews with naturalists, rangers and park managers too.
