I love your podcast! Will you or have you ever done a podcast about Mark Catesby, the naturalist, who was related to Robert Catesby that was involved in the Plot?
Almost every advance the interviewee gushes about Islam (in When Europe Met Islam) being responsible for are in fact things that the Islamic Empire has taken from other cultures, Persian for example, and claimed credit for.
And when she says “that we do have more in common than what divides us”, that is an absolutely disgusting thing to say. The West has nothing in common with Isla or Muslims. That barbaric Stone Age ideology has no place in the West.
Whether it’s a topic I’m familiar with or one that is entirely new to me, I learn something from each episode. I especially appreciate how skillfully Professor Lipscomb uses her own knowledge to delve deeper into the subjects her guests are covering.
It is a joy to listen to this podcast. Such a breadth of subject matter and always informative and engaging. There have been numerous podcasts on the key theologians and reformers - Luther, Calvin, Erasmus, Muntzer etc but not one on Ulrich Zwingli. Studying under the wonderful John Bossy at York many years ago he stood out as the most intriguing of the 16th c reformers but is oft overlooked.
